Inside Sales Representative -- Educational Sales of Digital Product
Responsibilities
Each Inside Sales Representative will be assigned a specific territory, and will be responsible for its continued sales growth by doing the following:
- Effectively creating and executing a strategic sales plan
- Building an active pipeline of current customers, prospective customers and new accounts within assigned territory
- Making a high volume of outbound sales calls and emails to generate and close new business, as well as renewal subscriptions
- Efficiently responding to customer inquiries
- Maintaining and nurturing relationships with new prospects, as well as current and former customers
- Demonstrating a digital platform with prospects and assisting them in setting up trial accounts
- Recording accurate information of all customer interactions in a CRM database for effective sales follow-up
- Preparing proposals and quotes, as needed
- Developing and in-depth understanding of the features and benefits of Millmark's products, as well as an understanding of the customers and markets in your territory
- Maintaining status reports, including activity, closings, and next steps/follow-up on sales opportunities
- Providing feedback about customer response to product, market trends, customer needs, competitor initiatives, etc. to management
- Utilizing social media to generate brand awareness and new business
- Meeting and exceeding predefined task goals
Experience and Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years outbound sales experience
- Proven inside sales success of meeting and exceeding goals
- Independent, self-motivated, and success-driven, yet able to take direction
- Confident communicator with active listening skills
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- Detail-orientation and excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications; SugarCRM experience a plus
- Knowledge of selling digital programs to the education industry is strongly desired
- Occasional travel to educational conferences possible
