Management Team

Ericka Markman

     

Ericka Markman, Founder and CEO: Prior to founding Millmark Education, CEO Ericka Markman conceived and launched National Geographic's successful educational publishing initiative. Ericka's more than 15 years of successful experience in educational publishing include management roles in a number of educational media companies including ABC-Clio, Pyramid, Annenberg/CPB, and Living Planet Press. She holds an M.A. in Education and an MBA from Stanford University.
 
 

Karen Peratt   Karen Peratt, Vice President, Editorial Director: Karen previously headed up Research and Development for Lexicon, a leading publisher of English language courses for the consumer Hispanic market. Before joining Lexicon in 2001, she was President of International Media Access, where she produced several major education programs. Prior to establishing International Media Access, Karen ad been VP of English Language Teaching for Macmillan Publishing Company, NY, and Director of Product Development at Maxwell Multimedia. She has an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from UCLA and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine.
 
 
Rachel Moir   Rachel Moir, Vice President, Operations and Production: Prior to joining Millmark Education, Rachel was Production Director at Infobase Publishing where she oversaw design, production, and manufacturing for all new titles and reprints (imprints included Facts On File, Chelsea House Publishers, Ferguson Publishing, and Checkmark Books). She holds an M.S. in Publishing from New York University and a B.S. in Corporate Communication from Ithaca College.
 
 
    Lisa Bingen, Vice President of Marketing: Lisa has over twenty years of experience successfully marketing supplemental instructional products to the K-12 school market. After serving as Marketing Manager for Write Source and DC Heath she joined the management team that started Great Source Education (Houghton Mifflin) and, over a nine year period, built the Company into an industry leader in reading and writing. Lisa brings extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of product development and strategic marketing, proven success at assessing market needs, and strong, results-oriented business and financial acumen to the Millmark team. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Minnesota.
 
 
    David Willette, Vice President of Sales: David brings 11 years of educational publishing experience as a regional sales manager, senior marketing manager, professional development sales specialist and sale representative for a number of supplemental educational publishers including Delta Education, the Wright Group/Everyday Math, Rigby and Benchmark Education. He began his career as a teacher in Clark County, Nevada. David holds a B.A. from Minnesota State University.
